I get paid $150 a week.. What Should I buy?

Question

I have this babysitting job for the summer.. 150 a week..

What should i buy?

I dont want any video game consoles...(have ps3,ps2,ds,computer, all gameboys,Xbox not 360,)

I have an Ipod nano(1st gen).. but it has a huge crack...

or I could buy a dog.. too much to deal with and all the maintenance..

Idk.. what do you guys think?

You should try and save at least 100$ of that each week, and use the extra 50$ to spend each week. You'll be able to afford something much nicer in the future, or even invest it in something you might one day really want.

Everyone these days just wants to buy buy buy.  I may sound like an old lady but try and save your money. If you don't have any immediate living expenses (rent, utilities, etc) which I am assuming you don't, go ahead and put that money in the bank.  

Why go out now and buy something just for the sake of buying something? You will probably end up with junk you wont even use.  Hold onto it until you can decide on a purchase that you actually need.
