I get paid on monday. i want to buy passport on friday. i bank with chevy chase. will this work?

i want to write them a check friday and place the money in there on monday around 1pm.... will they try to clear my account by that time

Buy your passport on Monday or later. Don't count on the float time.

what the big deal of one business day -- not worth taking a change on writing uncle sam a bad check -- what happens if for some reason you do not get pay monday!!!

Chances will likely work in your favor. I hope you mean you want to 'pay' for a passport as opposed to 'buying' one :)

The cheque clearing on Friday is slim to none...just make sure the cash is for sure there on Monday.
