  1. You might need migraine medicine! Consult your doctor, and I'm sure he/she will take care of you. If you're taking that many ibuprofen, you might have to consult the doc!

  2. If you continue on this path, you WILL develop an ulcer. If you have a head ache that lasts for more than a day you need to go to the doctor.

It may also not be a bad idea to start a food diary and in that diary note when your headaches occur so you can see if a food causes it.

  3. You are not suppose to take more of this medication than is recommended. An overdose of ibuprofen can cause damage to your stomach or intestines. The maximum amount of ibuprofen for adults is 4-6 doses a day. This medicine can also increase your risk of serious effects on the stomach or intestines, including bleeding or perforation (forming of a hole) like an ulcer. You need to go see a doctor and inform them about your headaches so that you can be prescribed something stronger or better. In the future do not take more than the recommended dose, they put that information on the label for a reason.

  4. That is not a good thing to be doing.  Overuse of ibuprofen or medications of that nature can cause a hole in your stomach.  Have you been to a doctor?  Maybe you should try a chiropractor.   I used to get severe headaches and I got tired of taking pills for them.  I finally went to my husband's chiro and it was the best thing I've ever done.

  5. Large, continued doses of ibuprofen can cause damage to your liver.

That said, I've taken prescription doses (800mg per tablet) several times a day for long periods, and occasionally taking two at a time ...1600mg... with no appreciable damage done (as evidenced by annual checkups with blood workups).

However, if you are having severe headaches, I highly recommend getting checked for migraines as these could be a sign of something more serious.
