Because my computer contains no brackets for connecting the heatsink to the processor, I used superglue to glue my heatsink to a Socket 423 Intel processor, putting thermal paste in the middle and a ring of superglue on the outside of the processor's metal cover. What do you think of this idea?

  1. Yeah, that glue with burn and if its solvent based, which I suspect it most probably is, say hello to the hospital!

  2. I once used zip ties.

  3. LOL. I used superglue (only a small amount) and it worked out 100%.

No problems and still living. :)

  4. I hope you never have to remove it...and I hope the superglue doesn't emit any toxic fumes from heating...
