I go swimming 7 times a week for 1 hour for the whole summer?

I go swimming 5-7 times a week for 1 hour for the whole summer (including June). And I'm not just free swimming, I'm in a group and I'll probably become a comparative swimmer. I'm 14 and I do get my extra protein. My question is - If I go swimming for the whole summer will I get a 'swimmer's body' till September?

  1. you should...we swim 7 days a week...3 hours on mon wed and fri and double practices on tue and thur. and those last 3 hours eact. then on sat we have a 4 hour swim....and ive got a swimmers body


  2. maybe. I've been swimming on a team for 2 years and still have no swimmers body... =/

  3. You will definitely be seeing some improvement in your strength. But, the level improvement really depends on how hard you're working each practice. If you're giving it all your effort every practice, then I know you will be happy with your body in September. Also, if you are practicing all of the strokes, you are most likely to get the overall "swimmer body".

    Keep up the great work! You should think about joining a competitive team, especially if you love the sport.
