I going on a western carribean cruise. Ruin question.?

There are a few ruin excursions on this trip. What are you experiences with each one.

Going to Belize, Costa Maya, and Cozumel.

Mayan ruin but a lot of walking and alot of mosquitoes so bring off lotion.  it's was just OK.

You can go on excursions to the Mayan ruins.  It is interesting but is a long, long day and usually very hot and humid.  There is a lot of walking over uneven terrain and if you climb the pyramids, the climb is on the dangerous side but is interesting.  Be prepared to give a lot of tip money and to pay a fee to take pictures of the ruins.  The natives say it is for conservation - but it is just a rip-off.
