  1. Act professional. You don't want your new pontenail agent think your not seious about the important things. Like brodway and other things.

You have to set up a time with the agent. You just can't come in and expect to be welcomed with open arms. The bissness

me and you are in is hard and not nice. So make sure your booking with a agent who cares about you and will get you good gigs.

Prepare a monolouge for the agent this is crushale. They need to know that you can act better than all of the other pontintal stars they have.

You have to give them your phone number and address I lost a huge gig because I didn't provide the proper info.

P.S. Be nice agents hate mean people not that

    your mean or any thing

  2. Yeah usually agents call you for an interview i they discover you but if you try out for an agent then itll either pick you or not no interview

  3. You get an agent one of two ways-- they find you (because they've seen you in something and would like to represent you) OR because you email them/mail to them a headshot and resume and they contact you.

At that time, yes you would meet with them -i suppose an exception to meeting them in person would be if they are located in another city and agree to "meet" with you over the phone and via email.

Questions to ask them: what percentage do they expect to take from your work? Average is between 10-20%, you should be concerned if they want more than that.

They may or may not ask you to do a monologue for them (if they've seen you in something previously then probably not). As an actor, you should have half a dozen monologues you can do at the drop of a hat at any given time.  If you don't, you're probably not ready for an agent.

As far as your address, etc... this should be included on your resume.

Note- once you get an agent, you no longer put your personal address/phone number, etc but instead list the agency's.

Before you get an agent, though, it is very important to put address, phone number and email address on your resume so perspective agents, casting directors, etc can contact you.

    Best of luck!
