  1. 2 woofers sound better than one

  2. A woofers ability to produce sound is dependant on two factors, surface area and Xmax(linear excursion\travel). Being that two 12"s have a much greater combined surface are in most cases the 12"s would be louder. BUT in this case you are comparing Jensens to FI. That is like comparing a knife to a sword. A 15" Fi Q sub has a Xmax of 27mm, so there is a good chance the 15"Fi Q will produce more sound than two 12" jensens.

Another thing you should consider is that you have stereo sound(seperate left and right) with the set up you have right now. If you switch to a single 15 all of the sound has to go through one channel. If you listen to music with a lot of drums you may want to stick with the dual 12s for sound quality. For example old Metallica has double bass drum that alternate left then right, music like that sounds like junk on mono.

So the two 12's can provide higher sound quality but the 15"Fi can produce more DBs.

  3. I wouldn't, I think the sound of 15" subs are way too boom-ey, the 2 12" subs have very deep bass, but have a much crisper sound than a 15.
