  1. Some Mollies,Swordtails, Guppies anything like that. But get maybe 5 if your going to get any of these. Also, get 4 females because the males will chase the females and if they is more male then female she might be bullied.

Good Luck with your fish!!!!!! XDDD

  2. 20 gallons is enough room. Neon tetras happen to be some of the most delicate fish there are, so be careful when choosing tankmates. I would suggest fancy-tail guppies. Platies also would do well. I would say no to mollies and swordtails because they can be very active, which would stress out your neons. Harlequin rasboras, scissortail rasboras, Farlowella catfish, cories, kuhlii loaches, and white clouds would work out nicely, as would diamond, cardinal, black phantom, black neon, pristella, lemon, gold, and flame tetras. Anything else would not work with your neons. Keep in mind that you can only have 20 inches of fish in your tank, because it is a 20 gallon tank. This means that if you add up the inches of all your fish, you cannot surpass 20 inches otherwsise the ammonia, nitrate, and nitrite levels will soar thus killing your fish. A neon tetra is about an inch long and you have seven of them so you have used up 7 inches and have 13 left.

    Good luck, and happy fish-keeping!

p.s. all fish do a little bit better with a little bit of aquarium salt.

  3. neons are schooling fish, so buying more of them will be OK, assuming you have a large enough tank.

  4. You mean you want more neons?  They certainly are happier in larger schools.  As long as your tank is cycled, you can add 2-3 more every other week or so.  A twenty gallon tank can hold about 30 neons, provided you have good filtration and no other fish.
