I got IP banned from Neopets.?

I got IP banned from Neopets. I tried changing my IP address, but it still didn't work.

Help! Any tips?

you could try sending them an email.

explain your situation to them.. to see if anything could be done.

well, all i can say is, you got yourself in this mess and your gonna have to get yourself out. This is what happens when you be an absolute n00b.

There's 2 possible things that happened.

1) Hackers & other lamers using the same ISP (like AOL) as you got caught breaking the rules & attempt to bypass previous bans.

2) You committed a serious (borderline criminal) offense & they banned your ISP as a precaution.

When I say they banned your ISP, they performed a Class C ban.  So any IP address that match the first 2 numbers in the IP address (like 192.168.*.*) are banned.

Sites try to avoid using such bans are it tends to inconvenience legitimate users from those ISP, but it's the only way to ensure that highly disruptive banned users from bypassing their ban in the short term.

If you're an innocent victim, try to contact Neopets & ask them to lift the ban...  otherwise, you'll have to wait it out like everybody else since the ban can last between a week & a month (if not longer).
