Please help me, I am 16 and I really need to make money. These stupid jobs never hire so I have to make money on my own. The only good way I can make money during the weekdays is selling candy in school. But last week I got 3 days Out-of-School for selling candy. It sucks! I was wondering how can I get one of those permits from the principle so I can legally do a fundraiser or just sell candy without getting in trouble. Cause I don't want to sneak around selling candy, I am a candy dealer NOT A DRUG DEALER!!

Thank You

  1. Contact the ASB President or your class president and ask them to go to bat for you.  Write up a nice letter to the principal and remind him of your personal liberties and the role of laissez-faire economics in the United States.  Explain that you're not a drug dealer and that your're not doing anything illegal, just a young man trying to make his way in the world.  If that doesn't work, write another letter and inform the school district that your constitutional rights are being impinged on and that you consider it to be a grievous offense and will no likely seek relief from the court system and that they might look rather foolish if they see their faces on network television.

  2. There must be a school code about selling items at school otherwise on what grounds were you suspended?

Those rules apply with or without a permit.  Next time read your handbook.

  3. lol

  4. Seeing as you got suspended I highly doubt the principal is going to give you a permit now. 16 is old enough to get a job at fast food or washing dishes. Plus you'll make a lot more money then selling candy.....
