  1. why in the name of god did you switch to virgin? im stuck with them for 11 more months and i wish if i can switch back to BT,

virgin media makes me pay twice because they refused to shift my contract from birmingham to bristol, those ba**** they didnt even give me a reduced cost. I hate virgin media, I wish if i can crack the whole company, no they wont contact anyone you have to everything yourself,

    useless b**** I hate them

I dont even get astraight connection, its slow and it keeps dissconnecting automaticly

  2. If you moved your bt number to virgin then yes they will, if you got a new number from virgin, then you will have to ring bt and cancel the phone and broadband personally.

Someone said above that virgin are b******s, thats their own personal experience my experience with them is diffrent i am very happy with virgin media, broadband, tv and phone (you do have to reset the cable modem now and then but you have to do it with most isps).

  3. Not normally.  Virgin don't use the BT line so you've now got 2 broadband connections to your house and you'll get 2 lots of bills.

  4. You need to let BT know that you no longer are going to use their broadband, phone line etc.

If you don't, they'll continue to charge you for providing the service.

I left Virgin to go to Sky, who then could not give me the service they promised, so then I was with BT at the end.  I like the service, with some reservations.

I have the older Home Hub and it's a stinker.

I like, however, the hub SIP phone and it saves me a packet.

    Anyhow, enough rambling.

To sum up, BT SHOULD tell Virgin, but I would tell them myself as well..
