I got a 5 on the AP bio exam...should i keep my score for university credit?!?!?

so i dont now whether i should keep the credit to use for next year or not...

reasons i want to:

-im garunteed an A in my first year university bio class (which is awesomeee!!)

-i can take other courses in place of the biology lecture and lab (other courses i wouldnt otherwise have the time to take)

- if i get anything less than an A next year, i will be kicking myself for not having accepted the credit in the first place!

reasons i dont want to:

-ill go a year without doing biology (no, i wont be doing the 2nd year course in my first year)

-ill miss out on doing about 1/2 the required labs at the university level (my high school AP class only did like half of them)

-ill miss out learning about a few topics we may not have covered in my highschool AP class..

so my question: if you were in my situation, would you take the credit? or redo the course?

or, if you have been in my situation what did you end up doing and why, and was it a good choice?

thanks!

  1. This is a no brainer; take the credit.    If you really want to study biology freshman year (and I don't get why you wouldn't take the 200 level courses immediately, btw), take some biology-related electives.

  2. take the credit...of course

the positives definitely outweigh the negatives

  3. take the credit
