  1. Erica: after 25 years, it's not fair to expect your TV to still work. lol You most likely can't even get parts any more, assuming it would pay to repair it, which it won't. Time to get a new one.


  2. 72? that's cool.

    Probably some of the resitors, tubes might need to be replaced (not very cheap since those tubes are hard to get IF the one you need it's available) I know you can replace those tubes with transistors but then you need a good electronic guy to do the job (not very cheap again).

    It's too old so there might be a lot of components that might need to be replaced. Check if it is worth the effort.

    Just remeber that in a few months all TV in the US will use only digital signal so all analog TV sets will need a converter if you want to keep using it.
