i got very lazy this year and didn't do as much work or revision as i should have. If i redo my AS year, i am very confident i can get 3 A's with hard work. Or would it be better to move on to A2, retake my AS exams in january of next year(so i can improve on it) and and take the rest of my A2 exams seriously?

  1. Well, think of it like this.

You have two chances next year for which you can re sit your AS modules whilst studying for A2. You can re sit in January, find out your re-sit results, if you are still unhappy, re sit them again in June. You may want to spread your re sits out, 2 in Jan, 2 in June. I personally wouldn't bother re sitting for your B grade, unless you are a couple of marks off an A. The grade boundaries change each year which could affect your mark.

A2 is harder and requires a lot of solid hard work, and the grade you get at first year is vital in order to maintain it in the second year. If you feel you are clever enough and will have the ability to work harder, and feel that you can make time to revise the previous modules that you are going to re sit, then don't waste a year doing every single lesson again...because more than likely you will get bored! A B and 2 C's really is not that bad at all.

I decided to stay an extra year at college, but that was only because I had a career change, and really that is probably the only time I would recommend staying a third year. Unless of course you fail and have to re take the year.

A lot of effort and dedication to your studies will improve your grade. You will just need to substitute outside activities like going out a lot for revision time. 1 hour per subject, per day. I know it's easier said than done, but with a bit of self discipline and encouragement, you will be fine and do well. Good luck!

  2. Evening Babes,

I reckon you should Retake your AS Exams in January Next year to improve.

    But OMG! Improve on a B and 2 C's?

I would be happy with them!

Im finding out my GCSE results end of this month.

Not that Clever to be honest. Only God will 'elp me. Haha.

Got common sense though, Not intellegence.

Ok Good Luck in the future Mate!     x

  3. I don't think you need to start again. BUT you must be prepared for hard work if you are to improve. I would recommend you don't resit all of the modules in Jan as that will be a work load, either resit the lowest ones, or the ones you think you are most likely to improve on.

Also, lots of the AS courses are changinh stating from Sept so if you do redo the whole year the work might be very different.

  4. mate

when i did a levels, i didnt do it here, i did them in china where the whole structure is different, but as i understand it a B and 2 C's is good isnt it? if you are confident that you can get 3 A's, then carry on and just put in the work, you said yourself you were lazy lol just dont be lazy next year... hope i helped dude. x
