I got a Job offer at state farm HELP!?

Question

I was offered and insurance sales agent job on average how much should I ask for as a base? Is there any room for growth in this field if so how much? Any advice would be helpful thank you!

It depends on where you are - BUT, I wanted to say that there is definitely room for growth.  You could move up to become an agent yourself (I am assuming you mean working in an existing agents office) or you could move over to the corporate side and go from there.  Also, depending on how you do, you could become a specialist in that office for 1 specific line or product, which could make your commissions better.  Get your foot in the door - especially if you think you would want your own agency somedday.

You can make about 40k per year...  Not much room for growth.
