I got a Samsung Soul on Saturday on a 18th month contract and im unhappy with the phone.

I cant change the phone now to another phone now can i??

Its the fact that when I make a phone call to any one the sound level of the person im talking to is not very loud even tho ive turned the volume to max.The music on the phone doesn't play very loud even when you change the settings and the 5meg camera is very good but not to easy to use plus you have to really fiddle with the camera settings to get a good picture depending on the light conditions.

I went in to the phone shop and got them to pay off half of my old contract which had 8months left on and they gave me a new 18 month contact and a new phone.Im just hoping I can just change the phone cuz im really not happy with it.Or cancel the contact at this early stage of the start of the 18 month contract? I thought you have a week or 2 to opt out??

The other thing I have thought of doing is I cant change I am thinking of selling this new phone but with a pay as you go orange sim card in it and but the new contact sim in my old phone which I still have.

check the agreement you signed, there should be a section towards the end saying :

"your right to cancel"

That should tell you whether or not you can bring the phone back within a certain period, say 14 days or so I think is usual.

Or other than that go back to the shop and ask them

Hi there i had the same problem i got a samsung f210 on an orange contract in july  i got that phone because it was "supposidly" to be an excellent mp3 player & as i travel a lot it seemed the ideal phone but i was totally disappointed with it i then contacted the shop 2 days later & explained to them that i was unhappy with the phone & asked if i could change it for a different phone ? only to be told that they would exchange the phone for the same phone but would not let me have a different phone the only way i could get a different phone would to be to cancel that contract & renew the contract & start again ! i was told something about electrical consumer rites so basically if you get a contract phone on orange do a lot of research into the phone your after & make sure its the 1 you want .... hope this helps you

i know that 02 gives you 14 days to play around with a new phone and they will change it if you dont like it.

Under the consumer credit agreement,you have fourteen days to change your mind and cancel contract. You will need to repay the ammount shop paid to cancel your old contract.
