I got a Sirius Home Kit and don't wanna connect to my home entertainment system. Any other options??

I would rather take it up to the cottage with me and don't have a home entertainment system there. Can I just buy some speakers alone and plug the audio cables in it? If so, how? Where do the white/red audio cables plug into to? I'm no good with these kinds of things! I know i can just buy a boombox, but Sirius gave me the home kit for free.... Thanks!

  1. You can hook it up to small powered speakers. I believe the 1/8"   phono jack from most ipod type powered speakers will work by plugging that directly in to the home kit. If your home kit has the hard wired audio output cable with just the red/white male rca connectors, then you may have to purchase an adapter (like the link below).
