sounds like you have some kind of amplifier in the car And your radio amp turn on wire was connected to the power antenna wire. { So, when you turn on the radio, the power antenna wire come online and turns on the amp.  When you switch to CD, the power antenna wire goes offline and your amp turns off }

Without looking at your car, this  is a very common mistake that most installers make once every 1-2 years when they are working and daydreaming at the same time.  good luck
