I got a check from on line gaming .com. Is the check for real or not .

Please let me know what to do if it is not for real. who can I talk to or call about this. it is from Virgin Atlantic INC.The tele#: 1-888-715-6657 ext 1 .the paper also has a re#: and a pin# , a acct# .It also says that you have to take money out of the check in the mount. of $2,850.00.They say it is for ( Federal taxeses)The Account Manager man John Snow. but it sound to fishy to me so please someone let me know. thank you

if it sounds to good to be true, it mostly likely is a scam. Read all the fine print. You should never have to take money out on winnings, that is usually done prior to you recieveing the check, or when you pay your taxes. Also, did you visit this website at any time recently? If not, then you know it's a scam.

Its a scam.

They send you a FAKE check to deposit in your bank, and you withdraw the $$ for the taxes. They usually will have you WESTERN UNION or buy a REAL money order and send them the $$ for the supposed "taxes". After a few days the bank will notify you that the check was fake and no such account existed. So your out the $2800 + The bank fee's. and Mr John Snow is laughing his *** off with $2800 in his pocket.
