I got a colby dvd player model # DVD-224?

Question

well anyways my dvd player was working great until one day when i put a disc in it took longer than usual to load then it displayed on the screen wrong disc. and it wasnt doing that ever. what could cause this? note my kids had access to the dvd player to use for this game called american idol and it had a dvd disc to use for the game and i wondering what if my kids changed the settings to play the game on my dvd player.can that be??

If you have a users manual look at the trouble shooting page for a clue. Try to load with a DVD which you had earlier successfully played. If there is a failure look at patiently if any settings have been altered and correct if necessary. Finally contact the dealer from whom you purchased or the service department of the producing company.

The DVD itself cannot change the settings on the player.  This player is not one of the greatest out there, I have gone through 2.  One thing that you can try is a player reset, by unplugging the player from the wall for 30 minutes.  I have had some success with this fix.
