I got a grey tooth and need help about it.?

Ok my right lateral incisor tooth is grey and the rest of my teeth are normal and nice white. The grey tooth is very conspicuous. I use to wear braces and right now i am 15, please tell me why it is grey and what's the solution Thank You!

  1. Brittney is kinda right! You're root didn't die, but the nerve inside the root either has died or is dying. Your tooth has turned gray because it has no vitality therefore no nutrients are being supplied to the tooth.

    You should see a dentist. Although they cannot change the color of you tooth, they will be able to cover the tooth (ie. porcelain or composite veneer) to change the shade. Also, your dentist may recommend a root canal.


  2. due to heavy pressure from the braces, the tooth has become non vital & dead. You may need a root canal & a crown fixed.

  4. I dont know why it is grey but i do know what you are talking about. A lot of the times tooth dicolorment can be cause by a lack of a mineral (like calcium) or chemical in that tooth.

    go to your dentist, (s)he can cover it with a simple formula in most cases that is (im pretty sure) temporary and will make it look white.
