I got a guestion to ask about being able to use my straightener in greece....???

ok so im going to greece in 1month from now and i want to bring my straightener there with me cuz i REALLYneed it for my hair or else my hair will probably not look so great when im down there lol,and what i want to know is can i bring my straightener from america to greece with me? cuz my mom and sis have told me that if i bring my straightener from here that when i plug it in at greece i will get shocked from the electricty cuz in greece they have higher elecricity then here so is this true!!?? PLEASE!! answer only if u know the answer to this!=] thx!

and if this is true^ then can i buy a sraightener from greece and use it there?AND HOW MUCH DO HAIR STRAIGHTENERS COST IN GREECE?

  1. Greece and all of Europe use 230V 50Hz electricity and the standard european plugs. These are all different from the american. An adapter is not enough, you would also need a converter. It's probably cheaper to buy a straightener there.

All you need to do is buy a converter at any travel store or luggage store. it has many different plug ends that you plug into the outlet in over seas countries. i have one and i use it in France . scotland and the carribes . You can take all your electrical things when you travel if you have a converter . .

  3. Do not bring anything electric with you unless it comes with a converter.

    Some hair products, hair dryers etc have dual voltage support, which means you can use them in Europe.

    Check on line for those products and order one beforehead.

  4. You need an adapter (from your country) - that's all. Really ... do you need a straightener - no one knows you!
