  1. yea but I'd watch them because sometimes they fight out of nowhere for no reason

  2. NO!

Hamsters are solitary, and can make your guinea pig sick as well as attacking them! plus, their diet is much different.

Guinea pigs and hamsters need to be raised in completely different environments. I'm sorry, but there is no way that would be safe or wise!!!

I have raised guinea pigs my whole life, and I would know!!!

  3. Even though I'm not a expert on hamsters or guinea pigs but, i think its ok for you to put them together, I've always wondered what would happened if you put 2 different rodents together.

  4. NO.

You can't put any different kind of rodent together; they all have to stay with their own kind, or else they'll fight.

  5. yess its fine

    theyll get along toghther

plus hamesters dont like being alone

  6. No - hamsters are solitary and territorial creatures and the GP will come out the worse of the two....

  7. do NOT under ANY circumstances put them together! they will fight because they are different breeds of animals!

  8. Its a definite noway. You may think hamsters are like smaller versions of guineas but they are not.Guinea  pigs may eat your hammy or attack it,also, hamsters are good at protecting themselves,it may not bite you but it thinks a guinea as a predetor.keep them apart. My old hamster fleck and my guinea pig Lippin fought to the death...I lost 'm both...

  9. To everyone who said "yes", you may want to do a bit more research (or A LOT).

And a guinea pig may attack a hamster, but not eat it. Guinea pigs are strict vegetarians.

Not only do hamsters like to live alone, the two animals have completely different nutritional needs. Guinea pigs have a very vegetarian-rich diet, as where hamsters are omnivores and eat both vegetation and meat. Aslo, in most hamster diets, are seeds. Guinea pigs aren't supposed to eat seeds; they could easily choke.

All in all, if you want to put them together, you would be doing them more harm than good.

    Leave them where they're at.

  10. absolutely not, they are completely different animals with completely different needs.

  11. yes you can put them together.
