I got a job in Qatar.I was told that i will get the workVisa and my residency visa only aftter 8 weeks?

I want to know the procedure which takes place during that 8 weeks? Why 8 weeks? Do I have to attest my certificate copies in Ministry of foreign affairs and in Qatar embassy in my own country? I need help
