I got an job offer letter from Trout Tool Company in London , they offered me the salary of 10,520GBP /month.

They asked me to contact the Global Travel Agency for preparing the Visa / Work Permit process . after i have contacted the global travel agency they asked me to send the scanned copy of passport ,signed offer letter and filled work permit form and i did it. now that global travel agency is asking for 850 GBP for processing my visa/ work permit.

The problem is that 850GBP is equavalent to

Rs.75,000 in Indian money. The global agency is mailing again and again regarding the payments for making the visa/work permit process.

Is that this job offer is true or spam.

  2. SPAM - SCAM

£10,520 a month is a very high salary.  That is about the same as the Prime Minister gets.

There is no job.  They are just trying to rob you of £850.

As you have sent them a copy of your passport go to the police immediately.  They may also try to steal your identity.

  3. As Philip says, this is just a scam in the making

The real Trout Tool Company is based in Yiewsley, not London.

A company in the Uk with a genuine offer would have to support you to obtain a visa for a "highly skilled migrant"and this would take approx 6 months or longer.  This would be handled via the embassy in your local company

It is a typical (Nigerian) scam which I've seen time and time again.

The Global Travel Agency is used for this purpose.  You send them money via Moneygram/Western Union (because there is no recourse with this method).  They will either tell you they have not received it or that additional money is required, and repeat until they can not get any more money out of you.  Then you will either not hear from them again, or they will inform you that you are not eligible for the visa and the fees are non-refundable, and wave goodbye to your money!

Here are a couple of examples of reports of scams using the Global Travel Agency
