I lived in the US a long time ago, therefore I have a social security number. But I moved back to my country, and I use the ssn barely, just for my bank account, and to buy a house.

  1. Get the h**l out of the country!  That's what you can do.

  2. If you're not a US citizen you can't be a juror in the USA.

  3. Well I don't know how you can have a social secruity number without being a US citizen.  On one hand you want the rights of a citizen (social security), but on the other hand you don't want to perform your duties as a citizen (jury duty).  It is time to decide what you want to be.  If you don't want to be a citizen and enjoy the benefits of being a citizen (such as serving your country on a jury for freedom), then burn your social security card and don't come back.

  4. When you fill out the brief questionnaire and return it, you will be excluded from this jury service, as well as any future requests for jury duty.

  5. you still need to write to the court that the jury duty is out of and explain the situation to them. if you do not do this they will issue a bench warrant for your arrest, they will execute this warrant on arrival if you ever return for anything.

  6. Send a reply to the origin of the letter of appointment, explaining the fact that you are not the citizen of US. If they still insist you may accept. It should not be as if you willingly suppressed the fact while accepting it.
