Lifetime guarantee?

I want to get a service that's close by but, more importantly, make sure I'm doing the right thing with a quality company.

  1. The repair is very simple and can be done in 15 minutes. I would not worry about finding a quality company. It would be best to get it fixed ASAP so the crack does not spread and then you would need a whole new windshield.

  2. Call your insurance company and check and make sure you are not covered for replacement of your windshield.  A rock hit ours when we were on the interstate several months back, and it started cracking all the way up after a few weeks.  When I called our insurance agent, he said because our state had a law about broken windshields, and where we had comprehensive coverage, it would be replaced for free without us having to pay a deductible or anything.  So check with your agent first before you pay it all out of pocket, you might not have to pay anything.

We had a choice of several companies that our insurance company had contracts with.  I went with one that was mobile (Glass America), so they came right out to our driveway and did everything.  We didn't have to do anything except sign the paper when he was done.  It was great.  So definitely look for one that will come to you.

    Hope that helps!

  3. Get a mobile Service to come to you - Use a supplier that also replaces screens - Also see if they are used by insurance companies
