  1. I was at this natural health store while on a small vacation with family, and the clerk suggested that taking one garlic pill, containing garlic powder and some medicinal ingredients can ward off mosquitoes for a few months!

I tried it, and my bites went away along with some home treatments and I never had a bite ever since!

  2. Mosquito bites are really annoying to have as it itches once in a while. Its better NOT to scratch it as you might spread the toxins from the mosquito bite. There isnt really naything you can do but to let it heal on its own (under a week should do).

For the everyones information, only FEMALE mosquito suck blood. So it aint a "he". Its a SHE.

  3. scratch it

  4. try to search it out and kill it, or hopefully get it outside.

move around to keep it of you, or wear long pants and a light jacket.

get some medicated anti-itch lotion that feels minty and

rub it on, then stay away from the bite.

it will go away eventually and leave a scar.

don't worry about it, i've had dozens when

i went to Taiwan [they're filled with them].

  5. Start swatting the little buggers whenever you can! I love all animals but I'm starting to draw the line at mosquitoes, believe me.

In the meantime, put on bug repellent, stay INDOORS as much as possible, stay away from marshy, swampy areas where "skeeters" LOVE to gather and pray that they don't find you.

I recently read that they don't like the smell of fresh basil (yeah, the stuff you put on pizza!) so start rubbing fresh basil on the exposed skin. You'll end up looking like the Jolly Green Giant but if it keeps those mosquitoes away, it's worth it. Also, the same article suggested chewing on fresh basil to keep mosquitoes away when you talk. Apparently they are drawn to our breath when we speak.

  6. If you do find him, squish him! Try putting a fabric softener sheet in your back pocket, that usually works for me. Don't ask me how, it just does.

As for getting rid of the itch trying spreading a thin layer of deodorant on it, it works wonders for me and those who I tell about it.

  7. You should go change into long sleeve and long pants and spray yourself with deet bug spray.  Apply an anti-itch cream on the bite.
