So my dealer said it was a 2008 chevy malibu but the design is 2007? The sticker in the front said 2008 an the car manual said 2008? It was a well known chevy dealer. A big one. Can anyone answer this?

  1. Look at the VIN number and the 10th character of the VIN is the year . I'm an auto appraiser.

  2. Vehicles that are manufacturer from the half of the year and on are consider to be next model year. Example  a car that has the production date 7/07 will be consider an 2008 model by the manufacturer/ dealer.

  3. have you look at driver door for the sticker which will tell you what month and year made...and what the cars tittle says many times if its at the start of a new year or at the end of a old one the year will be off by a few months... and really if the dealer says 08 and the tittle says 08 then pretty good bet its a 08
