I manage several Yahoo groups. Insofar as I can tell, I'm not doing anything wrong. How can I find out what the allleged violation is?

  1. If you posted a question or answer on Yahoo Answers and someone reported it to YA, you could receive a violation notice via email such as the one you received.  The new YA violation notices do contain both the original question  and the related answer.  Also, there is a link within the new violation notices that you can click to appeal and get the violation removed.

Do you remember posting anything on Yahoo Answers other than the question you are asking right now?

I believe that if something posted on one of your own Yahoo Groups was reported and you received a violation notice that said you violated Yahoo TOS, your group would have been shut down, your Yahoo account and everything related to your account including your email account would have also been deleted.

  2. yahoo generally doesn't send such e-mails notices- if you were in violation they'd simply delete- you often can tell an official yaoo address too. their e-mails aren't generally a simple blabla@yahoo.com

however send in this form, include the e-mail along with the whole header (very important to include the header)

  3. You really can't...welcome to Yahoo.

  4. I hate that about Yahoo. They'll tell you you're in violation with a form letter but give no details as to what you did or where you did it. They won't answer any questions on the topic and there is no route of appeal.
