I got a pell grant for a little over 4,000. i only used 2,500 what happens with the rest?

i was told that they give you the remainder. is that true if so are there deadlines to your return?

you get the rest of it. you should get it once your semester is paid for. i'm waiting on mine right now

Did you only use 2500 for the entire school year, or one semester.  If you do have any left that the government allowed and you are going full time, you may get a refund.  This is given out differently by each college and state.  If you are going part time, the amount allowed is decreased.  Also, the 4000 is the total amount given for the year, not semester.
