I got a question about my tooth?

i just pulled out my tooth but th root is still in my mouth what will happin im just a kid

Is it like a stringy sort of thread thing or part of the hard tooth?  Maybe it is not actually the root or something to worry about, esp. if it was a loose tooth that was supposed to come out.  Can you get an adult to have a look for you?  Good luck.
