I got a question for all the great party planners?

Question

What is a great theme for a party that is the ages between 13 and up. I just need some help all i know is that i want it to be colorful. Its kind of like a going away party / happy birthday

A hollywood party is cool, where you have a red carpet leading up to the venue etc.

A club theme party is also cool, where you have a bar set up serving non-alcoholic cocktails throughout the night. People can just be talking/dancing. Food can be nibbly bits taken around on trays throughout the night.

You could do a colour theme. Have everything one colour, all the decorations, put food colouring in the food... And ask guests to dress in that colour.

Any dress-up parties are also fun. 80s theme maybe?

At that age, kids basically just want to hang out.  You didn;t mention if the party was for a male or female, or if it a mixed-gender party.  Girls tend to prefer some sort of theme over boys.  If it is an all-girl party, perhaps beauty stuff: manicures, pedicures, hair, facials, lotion, etc.  if you are having boys and girls, maybe make it a movie night.  Rent a bunch of newly released movies.  Lots of popcorn and junk food.  Maybe set up a few board games if a few kids don't want to watch a movie.  Most of them will probably text on their phones all night long.   If you can, rent one of those inflatable bouncers.  Trust me, big kids love them too!  How about an ice-cream sundae bar?  Lots of ice cream with tons of toppings so kids can make their own.
