I got a shot yesterday...?

and the nurse said that my shot would hurt for a while since the liquid was a little thick. I s it suppose to hurt this long. It feels like i pulled a muscle or like its sore. when might it wear off?? XO

  1. Shots can be sensitive for up to a week or longer.  It's interesting that you said it feels like you pulled a muscle because every once in awhile they can actually hit a muscle which makes the hurt last longer and a little more intense.

    Don't worry, you are fine.  


  2. It'll hurt for like 2-3 days. Now I'm bored and sorry bout... the whole wednesday thing :)

  3. Injecting thick medications can cause some soreness.  It'll probably last a day or two.

  4. When I got a shot in the shoulder it felt the same way, like I got socked in the arm.  After about a week the pain finally subsided.  So give it about a week and you should be fine!

  5. yeah when I got my tetanus shot my arm was sore for a few days and I had limited rang of motion for a while but it should go away within a week if not call your doc.
