  1. Don't worry about it. You obviously tried out because you wanted it and you got it so that's great! You should be very proud. It is completely normal to feel nervous about it. I sang in choir my whole life and I loved singing solos, but I still got nervous about it every time. Even when we  wer just practicing. It's normal. Use that energy in your perfomrance to make it even better. : D

  2. If you got a solo, you're obviously pretty good. Don't worry about messing up, you'll be fine. Just relax, and you'll actually do better. And even if you do mess up, what's the worst that'll happen? No one will make fun of you for it.

  4. Stage freight. It helps performers to stay focused. A bit of it always helps pro singers. You will not mess up your first ? solo as long as you know the song by heart. I'd practice and master the piece until you can sing it even if you had to get up in the middle of the night to perform in front of the class or audience. That's what I'd done for my first solo. I hope this works to overcome your nervousness. As they say, practice makes it perfect. You will be confident to know that you'll not mess up your first solo part. We all go through it. Next solo will be a lot easier.

  5. Just Chill. It's perfectly normal to be nervous before a performance. I know I've been there! However, if you think with the attitude that you are going to mess up, chances are, you WILL mess up. Just go into it with the attitude that you aren't going to mess up, you're going to nail it. Remember, you really are your own worst critic. After all, you got that solo for a reason!  Chances are, after you finish, you're going to forget why you were ever nervous in the first place!

  6. calm down?

record yourself, and look for mistakes. it's probably just last minute butterflies. you'll be fine :D
