I live out of the county, that I got a citation in, but I don't think that would hurt anything -but make me take traffic school in another county? I payed off the citation in May mid way and haven't heard anything since.. is it just slow or is it me? I was thinking about calling the county clerks office, but I don't want to feel like a pain.

  1. Most traffic schools are to remove the points on your license for a violation. It is up to you whether you take the class or just leave the points on your license. If you paid the fine and didn't get ordered by a court to attend such classes, it is probably too late to take it now. My advice is that it is better to be a pain than suffer pain later for something you are not aware of (like a suspended license).

  2. The citation should have a pay by date and a court date.

  3. It's YOUR responsibility to get it done, not the court.

  4. Call them, your license can be suspended and they won't care, don't worry about being a pain

  5. Once you pay your citation fee and the court traffic school fee....it is up to you to take a traffic school course and submit the certificate by the due date.

You should always call.....they get paid (your tax money) to answer questions like this.  It may be too late to get the point removed.

Here is a little secret.  Yes you have to take a traffic school for the county in which you got a ticket.  But you can take an online one from home and just sign up fo said county.

This is a good online course:

  6. You definitely need to call!
