I got a speeding ticket and....

the highway patrolman never actually clocked me on his radar gun, can I fight this ticket and win?

  2. You can fight it but I hope he has the goods on you.

  3. He doesn't need a radar gun if he clocked you with the speedometer in his patrol car.

    You haven't said you weren't speeding, so I presume you are guilty.  Take it as a lesson in how to conduct yourself on the road.

  4. yea but you will probably have to pay court costs that will be higher then the fine i believe. I could be wrong, but check that out before you fight it in court and have to pay like $300 in court fees.  They rape you there.  

  5. Definitely. Contact the police complaints authority to find out what your options are and what the legal requirement is for an officer issuing a speeding ticket, criteria etc. It may even be online.

  6. You can try, but you probably won't win.  The patrolman will simply state that his professional opinion is that you were going XX miles per hour, and that will be that.
