I am 22 and the Judge that I have been assigned to is very strict and does not reduce tickets. I was driving 12 miles over speed limit and it will not be reduced. How much will my IL insurance go up. I have it through State Farm?

  1. I have state farm as well. I was in an accident and they raised my rates a whole 8 dollars. If you are not the type that has gotten lots of tickets or accidents..they may raise your rates..but it would not be too much to worry about. Does not matter what state you are in..they find out. I live on the border of Iowa/ILL (davenport) and my accident was in Moline, ill

  2. It depends.  Can they give you court supervision?  Meaning you pay a little more for the ticket and if you don't get anymore for 3 months it is dropped.  We live in IL and my hubby got a speeding ticket and asked to be on court supervision.  Now our insurance will not be effected.  We have State Farm as well.  Sometimes insurance doesn't go up for a first offense. I wouldn't point out to them you have gotten a ticket but if anything it won't go up too much I am sure.  Just be carefull from here on out.

  3. If your insurance company finds out they will raise the rates.  They have agencies in every state....so they have access to every state.
