I got a speeding ticket on route 68 in wallingford?

the cop said i was going 61 in a 45 but i wasn;t going that fast, he was driving the opposite direction and said that 61 and over is a misdemeanor and i have to go to court what exactaly does that mean?

  1. A speeding ticket is considered a class C misdemeanor offense.

    The class usually indicates the severity and at what level your fine will be, the worse offense is of course a felony and those also vary by an alpha degree. In the eyes of the law.

    A misdemeanor offenses are not that big of a deal unless you get too many of them (more than three in a three year period).

    However, even just one can have a huge bearing on your auto insurance rates depending on what the offense is.

    Best to just slow it down and try to avoid any and all tickets or worse.


  2. i would fight it...to much room for error if he was going the other direction...what was his method of computing your speed...
