Okay, I owe a bank money and actually it was a debt I COMPLETELY forgot about. They sent me an summons a couple of weeks ago and the court date is tomorrow. I called the collections office that made the summon and they made an arrangement with me to pay a set amount every month. They sent me some papers and I sent them back and I made the first payment Saturday and printed out that transaction. Do I still need to show up to court even though we have an arrangement? When I spoke to the office Friday they told me they hadn't received the signed statement, in the statement I basically admitted to the charges which went up due the court fees and made an payment. Is it still recommended for me to go the summons or is it not necessary anymore?

I also have an copy of the signed statement I had to mail back to them.

  1. Hi Friend,

I think you must go to a court. The confusion can be cleared up to avoid any action against you. Because court doesn't know that you have submitted the amount. Provide them the proof.

  2. It is recommended that you should to the court or send a letter in reply to that along  with the copy of agreements so that court can know the status and file the document in their record.

    thanks
