I got a ticket in laguna beach, ca. It was an Infraction. Because the cop said, this is what i did on the ticket, he wrote: that i was in the middle of the street stopped in a busy intersection going zero miles per hour. I have to go to court this month. I want to fight it!!!

So far this is what i have came up with, "i was on the street light, and i didnt see the light turn green because i was looking to my sides to see were the entrance of the freeway was, because i am not from that area and it was my first time visiting. Until a car behind me honcked that when i saw the light then i went forward and the cop stoped me.

is that good or no? or can someone make a good one for me please

thanx! will vote best answer <33

  1. Fake a heart attack, go search for the video on youtube the guy almost got away with it ...

  2. So far this is what you came up with...How about the truth? Since it is an infraction here are two ideas: 1) cowboy up and pay or 2) obtain legal counsel and have the ticket reduced. If you break the traffic laws be an adult and deal with it. Don't think your case will be the first that the judge will be hearing-don't you think they can tell when you're bulls**ting.?

  3. That is not an excuse. You are supposed to be paying attention when driving, Just pay the ticket, your only hope is if the cop does not show up. If he does its your word against an officer of the laws and the Judge WILL decide in favor of the officer.

  4. traffic infractions are general intent crimes, meaning your knowledge of the crime is not needed. A specific intent crime would be theft. Where you have to have knowledge you are taking something from someone (not accidently picking up the wrong set of keys from a table and walking away vs. stealing someones keys). So, in essence, the state does not have to PROVE you knew you were gridlocking, but just prove you DID block the intersection.

  5. excuse- "I was smoking crack and I could see well"

  6. Pay the ticket. No case.

  7. Try telling the truth, not what you "came up with".

  8. That is no good. A good one would be "the stop [was] necessary for safe operation or in compliance with law." (e.g., an American Bald Eagle landed in the middle of the busy intersection) Traffic school will cost a bit more, but keep it off your record so that even a poor beach gal could continue to afford her insurance.

    */End of Line.
