  1. State laws are different in their fines.

I was doing 15 over the speed limit on an interstate in Missouri and got a 250 fine from a state highway patrol. That's a difference though.

My guess is, 30 miles over the speed limit and in a school zone, you're looking at 100-300 bucks and as I said, fines differ with each state.

    Start savin' your money

  2. Unless you are in some strange state...

It should be right on your ticket...

It will be alot, because after 15 over it hikes up, and in a school zone everything is doubled. But what you really need to worry about is the points you will be getting with that.

  3. The question is WTF are you doing 65 in a 35, esp. in a school zone.  You are one of the arrogant drivers who thinks they own the highways aren't you?  The price should be your license for 3 months or so.

  4. It could be Very expensive so I would look into options of dismissing the ticket altogether. You can learn what to look for on a ticket and how to behave in court to minimize your cost and consequences. See the blog post links for details on that.

  5. what state?  California about $350 after state penalty and assessment fees.  Being in a school zone enhances the charge.

65 in a 35 and in a school zone?  You need to realize a car is not a toy, it's transportation.  Stop f'ing around b4 you kill someone.  Then thats 10 years mandatory state prison on negligent operation of a motor vehicle and a manslaughter charge.  Get a good enough district attorney and it may even be 2nd degree murder with a 25 year sentence.

  6. suspended license.

  7. 150$

  8. Probably not half as much as it should be. In my state , it would have been called reckless driving and you would get the heck fined out of you and if you were under 18, a suspended license. I would anticipate several hundred dollars if not more. That was extremely irresponsible of you. You could have hit and killed a child.

  9. 1. Fines vary by jurisdiction.

    2.  School zone limits are usually 20 mph, not 35.

Without better information, EVERY answer you get is a BAD guess.

  10. If you live in California $350-$450

  11. About $400, maybe higher because it was a school zone.  Did you learn anything?

  12. Probably 175-200

  13. If you got a ticket, it should be on your ticket and how many points you're getting off for it.  That doesn't sound like it's good though.  I got a ticket for going 50 in a 25 and it was about 140 dollars with six points off but they knocked it down to four points.  But going almost half over in a school zone is even more dangerous.

  14. It depends on where you live.  Different states have different rates
