  1. Why do people think that if a ticket isn't filled in completely to a "T", the charge will get dropped?  It's a myth.  You failed to follow the law, you're going to get charged for it.  Now, you CAN take care of it as soon as possible and the judge will usually drop the charge (happened to me actually), if you can provide the receipts. They understand mistakes happen, and people can overlook things.  It's called a "fix-it" ticket.

I don't mean to sound harsh, but when you see questions like "The cop didn't dot the "i" in my name, can I get out of the ticket?", it gets old.

  2. You can try.

  3. it depends on your state's laws, but i know in Pennsylvania if the officer didn't sign it you can argue it in court that the ticket is not valid, and it will be thrown out.

  4. Ive tried this before and it doesn't work.  It could get dismissed in court, but I wouldn't push it.  Once they send it to the capital of your state, it's in the computer, it's also sometimes logged as soon as he/she runs the tag and insurance depending on the dept.  I would go ahead a go to court and see what happens.  You def don't want a warrant placed on you for not showing in court.  Good Luck
