I just got the ticket today and I wanted to know if I could still change the court location to San Diego because of my work schedule. Any idea on how to do this?

  1. You can't.

  2. The court location is "within the county in which the offense charged is alleged to have been committed and who has jurisdiction of the offense" pursuant to California Vehicle Code section 40502, subdivision (a).

If you don't want to go to court, ask the court if you can plead guilty and pay the fine by mail, pay to go to traffic school, or have a trial by mail (also called a "trial by written declaration").  Kern County offers an online traffic school option, it will cost a bit more, but will keep it off your record.

    */End of Line.

  3. I don't believe that's possible.  If your court ordered to appear, then you must show up.  If it's a pay out, you may as well pay it.  It'll be cheaper in the long run.

  4. You can't.  All jurisdictions have specified court locations.

  5. you can't, they will laugh at you.

  6. You can't a change of venue just because of your 'work schedule'.

And you'll never get a citation changed to another county, possibly a different judge only.

    Good Luck

  7. No can do just pay it:(

  8. you can only go to court in the jurdistion the ticket was

    issued in

although in some cases (like for example

you got  ticket say in Delano you could

sometimes have  the ticket/case transfer to the county seat

    (which would be Bakersfield)

but you have to prove you live or work close to Bakersfield

    then Delano

(this wont work if you live in Delano for example)
