the officer told me i could pay 200 dollars cash bond and i would not go to jail , i was pulled over for swerving on the road. , i asked the officer when was the warrrant issued he could not tell me that, who pressed charges he could not tell me that , well i payed him the 200 dollars so i would not go to jail? now lost money for house payment, if this is a mistake in records or a false warrent can i sue the county for this. what can i do ?

  1. YOU SHOULD HAVE  INVESTIGATED THIS FIRST BEFORE PAYING..............  NOW INVESTIGATE THE CHARGES!

  2. Sounds fishy. If you have no receipt or other bond paper, it's probably a wrong deal. If you really, really can't think of any situation at all that might have brought this on, you might have been scammed. First, find out if it was real. Call the agency and talk to a command officer who can easily check to see. If they have no record of it, ask to have an officer respond to you to take the report. You can try to sue the county for their error, although there was little real harm. If a warrant was issued based on someone's false report, you can't attack the county, and you need to deal with the false charge before you think about anything else.

  3. I don't know where you live but I have never heard of the police collecting bond money.  You have to deal with that thru the court system.  I think you got taken, are you sure it was an actual police officer?
