  1. sometimes it just means that it's someone has disabled (turned off) caller ID on their phone so that the call can be made anonymously & their number doesn't come up just for taht one call; others have this setting automatically.. on my phone I can do this on a one-time basis each time I want this by pressing  *67 . Other times it's a  call from another country, or a salesperson or someone you may not need to speak to right then, and if it is important they can leave a message. But those who don't answer the phone if it says caller unknown might be missing a call from another country or a friend who has this setting on their phone all the time.

  2. payphone, cell phone, or someone from a police station, hopsital, or someone that used *67 to block the number

  3. Dont worry about it, if there is a person who look for you, will call you again.

  4. its someone who has paid the phone company to not display the name and number of the person calling.

sometimes they are telemarketers, but my home phone is blocked when i call my friends.

    it could be anybody.

  5. beat me!!!! get callerID........or do a *69
