  1. Don't download from unknown sources.

Keep Anti-Virusa running all the time.

Use a Firewall, - Zone Alarm is free and easy to use

Now, in your browser, click Tools, Internet Options, then click on Delete File and Delete Cookies.  Close borwser and re-open it.

If it still gives you the warning, go a do a Restore to you last Backup Save point.  -- You will lose anything since then.

If it still persists, throw the PC out the Window because Windows Sucks.

  2. No anti-virus program will fix this because it is adware not a virus or trojan.

WinFixer, WinAntiVirus, WinAntiVirusPro, ErrorSafe, SystemDoctor, WinAntiSpyware, AVSystemCare, WinAntiSpy, XPAntivirus2008, Performance Optimizer, StorageProtector, PrivacyProtector, WinReanimator and others are very similar computer programs available only for Microsoft Windows that claim to repair computer system problems [1][2][3], but do not actually do so. They are sometimes installed without the user's consent, usually through Internet Explorer. They display false information about the user's computer, confusing the user into believing that their PC is infected with viruses, spyware and/or other forms of malware. The advertisements pop up a display with notifications to convince the user that something may be amiss with the computer, or run a fake diagnostic. The program repeatedly prompts the user to purchase a licensed copy of the program. Due to these problems, WinFixer and its sister applications are generally considered scareware spyware through misleading popups and forced downloads.

WinFixer claims it "is a useful utility to scan and fix any system, registry and hard drive errors. It ensures system stability and performance, frees wasted hard-drive space and recovers damaged Word, Excel, music and video files", but it has never been shown to do such things.

I would find the file with a search right click on it, and choose the security tab. Remove all users from being able to access the file, do not worry as an administrator you will be able to give yourself access to it again after a reboot. What we are really trying to accomplish here is stopping the file from being in use after a reboot so that you can delete it. And that is what you should do after a reboot. Delete it. Problem solved.

  3. Sometime Norton misses things. Is your Version up to date? i.e do you run the Automatic Update feature? Is your subscription current?

Google "AVG" and install the free version AVG is very good and often deals with Virus that Norton does not detect.

Try deleting winfixer.com either via file manage or the ADD & Remove programme feature ijn windows.

Google "Cleanup" download the free programme and run, that should help.

WARNING IT WILL REMOVE ALL HISTORY AND ANY STORED PASSWORDS ON YOUR COMPUTER AS WELL

  4. Just go to my profile and click the link for btexpress.(located under my pic of the dog) They will help with almost any computer problems. They are a great site to check out. They fixed my computer problem quickly.

  5. you need to run a scan to get rid of the viruses

  8. WELL FOR STARTERS U CAN STOP WATCHING p**n!!!!!!!

  9. system restore your computer back to like a week ago

  10. just re boost your computer   it will delete all your files tho

  11. You can reformat your computer.  If you want to do this, backup the files you want first, because the reformat will wipe out your c drive.  Cheers!

  12. if norton is blocking then its doing its job

uninstall the file that norton is blocking or run a scan and let norton remove it for you if it can it may mean waiting for an update from norton to reslove it

so long as norton is blocking it you're fine
