It says i get a 200 dollar discount. Has anyone ever heard of this warranty ? the car doesn't have a warranty should we get it? or is it no good? is it expensive? Thank you..

  1. Extended warranties are bad deals for most cars. If you know your car will need extensive repair on covered components, and the cost for the warranty is less than the total cost of the extended warranty, then go ahead a sign up. But otherwise, as most auto journalists will tell you, bank the money you would have spent on the warranty and use that for future repairs.

  2. Yes. Scams like that are quite common. These predator companies will send you many notices, hoping they can scare you into buying their extended warranty. They use language like "Final Notice" hoping you'll think it's something you have to do. It's required.

Toss them into the trash. You don't have to buy an extended warranty from anyone. And if you did want one, the only type to get is the one the car manufacturer has.

These other companies will sell you useless coverage that is not honered at most dealers. And if it is, you have to pay for all the repairs first, then try to get reimbursed by them.

These companies are a scam. Avoid them and throw their mailings into the trash.

  3. Car warranties is the latest craze by the insurance industry. I get at least 2 calls a day from salespeople. They don't have any idea what cars I own.

What does it tell you? It is very lucrative, that means you are overpaying for what you get. You won't find out what is and what is not covered unless you read the small print, which most people won't do.  My advice: Stay away from them. stay with the original manufacturer's warranty which is for free. Don't buy all these warranties unless you have a weakness for the insurance agents. Same holds for all the insurances they want to sell you at Best Buy and Circuit City. Have you noticed how hard they are pushing these insurances when you check out. The cashiers get special training selling this stuff. Now, why do you think they are doing that?

  4. no

  5. This is nothing more a piece of junk mail sales pitch to sell you a service plan that is too expensive.  Probably next to worthless too when it comes time to use it, no mechanic will accept the warranty.

    Ignore this offer.

  6. It's SPAM by phone, I wouldn't trust that.

  7. I wouldn't bother. They usually will not cover the things you need it for. I would just put some money aside every month in savings just in case you need it.
