I have a German license. It says I am allowed to drive 'B' (car) and 'M' (moped). Can I take a passenger with me on my UK 49cc scooter? Also, am I allowed to drive in the green UK roads (e.g. A505 etc etc). THANKS!

  1. Absolutely wrong answer - you CANNOT take a pillion passenger on a moped in the UK under any circumstance.

If you have an EU car license, you may drive wherever you like!

  2. Yes, you are allowed to drive on an EU license. You would also be able to drive on an International license, but only for a period of 12 months. You would then have to pass a driving test in the UK. You would be entitled to drive on all roads. You would be able to carry a pillion passenger on a moped with a full driving license, however you should confirm with police as the license law have changed recently, and that may only be applicable fo people who passed their test before a certain date.
